Phase 2

I cant say we r actually doing the phase 2 of the diet..not really... particularly halil..it is sohard on him... our status right now is...

halil:94.9kg
simah: 73.3kg

we r deviating... how much...that is the question... i cant control halil's diet when he is at work...but at home, i am trying to steer him to the right amount of to be eaten food... these few days, i see him eating during midnight again...we will see... as for me.. my new addiction of my home made soya drink is disturbing the peace of my diet... but i cant help it... i miss malaysia so much...will update later...

Food portions

I have regained my 1 lost kilo hehehe i think maybe because i sort of increase a bit of the food portions...1 thing i like about this diet is...

one slice of bread for example...can be replaced with.....(prepare for a longgg list)

1. a quater of yufka (filo pastry)
2. 1 small cup of Soup (any kind of soup)
3. Rice, pasta(makarnalar), bulgur, kuskus
-2 tablespoons if with oil or
- 3 tablespoons without any oil
4. Potatoes
- boiled (1 medium sized)
- as a dish (4 tablespoons)
-mashed (4 tablespoons)
5. Corn
-pop corn (1 glass)
-boiled ( 4 tablespoons = halfa corn)

6. Chessnut (kestane) -3
7. leblebi (kacang kuda) -half a glass
8. etimek (toasted bread) - 2
9. Grissini - 2
10. Galeta - 1
11. sweet biscuit - 2
12. salty biscuit - 2
13. diet biscuit - 4
14. simit (susamlı) - a quater
15. oats -2 tablespoons
16. corn flakes - 2 tablespoons
17. muesli -2 tablespoons


MEAT PORTİONS

This is one meat portion...which can be replaced with:

Red Meat
1. köfte (meatball) - 1
2. sliced meat - 1 tablespoon
3. pirzola, beefsteak, bonfile - 1 small size


White meat
1. chicken -1 egg size
2. turkey - 1 egg size
3. fish - 1egg size
4. mussels - 5
5. shripm (karides) - 5
6. lobster - 1 mediumsize


Şarkuteri (cant remember the translation in english)
1. sucuk - 4 thin slices
2. hot dog (sosis) - half
3. cocktail hot dog - 1
4. salam (salami) - 2 very thin slices
5. jambon - 1 slice

Cheeses (i wont translate their names coz i duno whether they exist anywhere outside turkey)
1. beyaz peynir - 1 kibrit kutusu büyüklüğunde
2. labne peynir -1 kibrit kutusu büyüklüğunde
3. dil peynir - 1 kibrit kutusu büyüklüğunde
4. lor peynir - yarım çay bardağı
5. gravyer peynir -1 kibrit kutusu büyüklüğunde
6. tulumpeynir - 1 yemek kaşığı
7. taze kaşar peynir 1 incidilim
8. eski kaşar peynir - yarım kibrit kutusu büyüklüğunde
9. karper üçgen peynir - 1 adet

This is for one portion...

5. Greyfruit - half medium size

10. Quinches (ayva) - a quater of medium sizedone)

17. Sour cherries - 14

DRied Fruits

2. greyfruit juice - half a glass
3. apple juice - half a glass

7. carrot juice - 1 glass


so u see..instead of just eating the boring.. meat, slices of bread n fruit..u can interchange them tomake a variety... hence u wont feel bored eating the samething everyday..this diet is quite flexible..the problem is... even though i follow the diet... i tend to expand the portions a little bit... hmmmm...

A systematic diet

Halil n i..we had tried simple less excessive eating... unfortunately.. none of them work.. This time, we have decided to follow the diet program that halim n özlem r following..

Bear in mind that this diet program r divided into many stages... Here is Stage 1.

Date: 12nd March till 22 nd March
Duration: 10 days
Expected kilo loss: 4kg


Halil: 98.6kg
Simah: 75.8kg

Daily Menu

Be4 breakfast:
1. 1 glass of warm water
2. 1 glass of room temperature water

Morning Breakfast:
1. 1 match box sized white cheese or an egg
2. 2 thin slices of bread

*tomatoes, cucumber n any green veggies has no intake limit

In between breakfast n lunch:
1. one glass of milk or i glass of yogurt or 2 glasses of ayran (a drink where water, salt, yogurt n a bit of milk r mixrd together)

Lunch:
1. 2 meat portions or 4 tablespoons vegetable dish with one meat portion or 6 tablespoons chunk/minced meat in vegetable dish
2. 2 thin slices of bread or 1 cup of soup
3. green salads (no oil)

Tea:
1 match box side white cheese
2. 2 thin slices of bread

Dinner:
1. 3 meat portions or 4 tablespoons vegetable dish with 2 meat portion or 8 tablespoons vegetable dish wih 1 meat portion or 9 tablespoons chunk/minced meat dish
2. 1 thin slice of bread or 1 cup of soup
3. half a glass yogurt or 1 glass ayran or half a glass milk

Supper:
4 fruit portions

I will scan in the portion measurements later when i have the time. Let us just say that one portion of meat/chicken shoud be the size of an egg...m the fruits..1 fruit portion is usually equavalent to one fruit

Halil's aim is to lose his weight till he is 80.. mine is 60 kg .. i want to be within that weight range by the time insyaAllah i go back to Malaysia... let us say summer 2008...

Yes... loads of white cheese..n we r expected to drink 10-15 glasses of water on daily basis
n yes... Salads r free anytime n in any amount!
